Tips ‘n’ Tricks for Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow

Preserve the Pizza!

Pizza is the main currency and as opposed to Nixonbucks which is the common currency. Hence as they are so valuable they should be used sparingly and definitely not be simply used to speed up build and wait times.  Instead players should not use a single slice until they have collected at 50 slices to which they should then immediately purchase a second robot 1-X Worker which will allow players to build more buildings quicker which will produce cash and XP at a much faster rate.

Also be sure to take advantage of free pizza slices by watching short video advertisements which can be done by tapping on the floating billboard which pops up every so often.

Time Management

Just as with any build or XP collecting sim game, time management is essentially the core of solid gameplay. Therefore it is important to perform as many like timed short tasks for all characters when active and then embark on lengthy objectives when going to offline at work, school or asleep.

Space Missions

Similar to Transformers: Forged to Fight, most Space Missions have multiple paths each with different challenges. Completing a path will not only earn valuable ‘hypnotons’ yet also yield career chips which can be used to level up characters.

Therefore as missions become more and more difficult as player’s progress, it is far better to go back and complete previous missions wholly before attempting new more difficult missions. Doing so will not only earn more hypnotons and career chips but will reward players with a slice a pizza if completing 100%!

Character Levelling up

Levelling up characters is essential and should be done as quickly and often as possible as they not only strengthen and increase all stats, but also unlock new character actions which can produce more XP and Nixonbucks as well as enable new special combat skills as well! When levelling up however, it is important to pay attention to the different class specifics!  By matching class specific career chips to respective characters jobs, i.e. robot, delivery, scientist etc. characters can receive higher boosts which helps level up faster than mismatched or generic career chips.

Better Battles

In the nostalgic, old school graphics of battles within Space Missions, attacks from players and opponents take place automatically. Therefore in order to increase the chance of success it is crucial that players perfect their timing to capitalize on the critical hits when attacking and blocking when defending.  Doing so is simple to do yet requires a little practice to master.  Whether attacking or defending simply tap anywhere on screen exactly at the point where the circle under targets fills.  Timing can be a little difficult to hit every time, yet doing so will highly increase success and reduce damage sustained.

Personal Impressions // Review of Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow

The retro pixelated combat scenes are a great addition which expands the game from a generic builder / sim game to include fun arcade action elements. This addition is also heightened by the tease of thought-out Meta intricacies in the “choose your own adventure” scenes where players can select from a variety of options, (despite how limited and essentially meaningless as the options and rewards are…)

The use of actual original writers for the dialogue is without a doubt the most alluring reason to invest time in Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow. Yet before too long the game unfortunately becomes exactly that, simply logging in for a few seconds to tap characters into actions which take hours to perform and then waiting for those actions to be completed before rinsing and repeating.

Thus if looking for a long term patience testing game or a die-hard fan of the franchise then Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow may be perfect for you, if however looking for a more involved and action packed experience, perhaps Futurama: WoT may not be worth investing time in.

All in all, with at times comical dialogue, crisp and retro graphics and clean sound effects, Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow scores a strong three stars out of five.
