Tips ‘n’ Tricks for Criminal Case

First Impressions!

Speed is key in getting those extra stars and points! So to accurately do this before looking at the scene itself, memorize the list of items that you need to find as quickly as possible.  Then quickly tap the most immediately obvious item.  With any luck the first or second item may be a “new evidence” item which stops the clock.  At this point rather than simply clicking ok, take the time to survey and study as much of the visible scene as possible whilst taking note of all various item placements.  Then once prepared click to start the clock again and again tap as many items as possible.

Grind with Goals!

If replaying a mission then, it can be advantageous to simply pick the easiest one to replay again, yet with each replay costing the same amount of energy to replay, it is instead better to focus on stars rather than simplicity. If a certain crime scene is closer to obtaining another star than the others then that is the scene which should be replayed first! Following on from that, the ‘time attack’ scene requires the least amount of points to earn a star, so where possible, this should also be replayed as often as possible.

Spending Stars.

Collecting stars is the most crucial element of the game and limits progression exclusively. Therefore, spending energy cells wisely to collect as many stars as possible is a must!  (See above tip) Spending stars can be done in a variety of ways from arresting the killer and questioning suspects, to examining evidence. They can also be used in ‘additional investigations’ with any surplus being able to be spent on juice, chips and burgers!  Which breaks down to 1 star for a bottle of juice which rewards 20 energy bars, 2 stars for a bag of chips which equal 50 bars of energy and 3 stars for a burger – 120 bars of energy.

Also be sure to login daily to receive daily rewards of coins and energy bars as well as to spend coins on boosts which can rapidly increase scores and gain stars quicker.

Personal Impressions of Criminal Case

One of the biggest and most appealing aspects of Criminal Case is that it expands the generic Hidden Object genre into a gaming experience where players actually feel involved in solving mysteries and being a positive force!   The detailed graphics and subtle sound effects equally add to drawing players in and making gameplay easy and enjoyable.  The puzzle scrambling and other various element add a nice little extra touch to an otherwise standard H.O.G.

The time lag during autopsies can be quite annoying, but on the other hand heightens that addictive allure which keeps pulling players back. Yet for players looking to spend a nice session sinking their teeth into a new game, then unfortunately they will be left wanting, as the game is quite stagnant in its energy meter and autopsy wait times.

The stage unlock system of collecting stars also falls victim to the sluggish meter system, where is becomes virtually impossible to quickly replay missions to grind out some extra XP. Not only is the energy refill rates and playability sluggish, but the storyline, and commentary is equally tepid and dull.

The IAP’s are which actually broken down mathematically are also unbelievably, ridiculously expensive!! $8 for 120 energy bars which results in six crime scene searches which can be equated to less than five minutes of gameplay? WOW! That is impressively shameful!

Therefore, unless being a die-hard fan of such television shows like C.S.I etc. then perhaps try to find another style of hidden object game. Half star out of five.
